FAQ’s
What is the difference between Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems (EIFS) & Traditional Stucco?
Check out our page on the differences and similarities between EIFS and Traditional Stucco!
Is pressure washing included after the patching/recoating (or any other service)?
Cleaning would be a separate process, separate from any repairs . Not all repairs require cleaning ,but those that do would be cleaned before we apply any new coatings.
Does pressure washing help the material to last longer?
Pressure washing doesn’t necessarily prolong the life of it, it’s more for aesthetics.
If I have traditional stucco, can you recoat with EIFS stucco? And vice versa?
Yes, there are ways and products to apply EIFS to almost anything. Applying it to existing products is where it really does well. It’s light, flexible and near unlimited designs styles. Typically we apply EIFS over traditional stucco, not the other way around, but we could, yes.
When you do patch work, do you also paint the patch if the customer has the paint?
Yes ,we paint to match the existing. Even if the homeowner does not have the the original finish coat or paint we color match.
EIFS finish comes pre-colored and does not require painting after installation, but it also can be painted very easily and accepts paint exceptionally well . The colors are mixed into the finish before installation which means the color is throughout instead of just a thin surface layer.
